Biography:
Kroll split last season between the Stingrays and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL). While with the Stingrays, the Plymouth, Minnesota, native skated in 17 games earning five points (1g, 4a) and appeared in four postseason contests scoring one goal. Since joining the Stingrays as a rookie for the 2008-09 season, Kroll has 47 points (5g, 42a) in 98 regular-season games and helped the team capture their ECHL-record third Kelly Cup championship in 2009. In addition to Hershey, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman saw AHL action with the Lake Erie Monsters, Manchester Monarchs, Grand Rapids Griffins, Syracuse Crunch and Rochester Americans over four seasons totaling six points (1g, 5a) in 70 games. Prior to turning pro, Kroll spent four years at Ohio State University grabbing five goals and 22 assists in 153 games and was a teammate of Stingrays Assistant Coach J.B. Bittner.
