Walters spent the last four seasons at Bemidji State University netting 70 points (20g, 50a) in 141 contests. Before dressing with the Beavers, the Hibbing, Minnesota, product skated four seasons of junior hockey with the Wichita Falls Wildcats (NAHL), Green Bay Gamblers (USHL) and North Iowa Outlaws (NAHL) picking up 30 goals and 96 assists for 126 points in 176 games.
