Kroll, 25, competed in 40 games last season for South Carolina tallying one goal and 21 assists for 22 points. Along with Campbell, the Plymouth, Minnesota native played in 2009 postseason scoring eleven points (1g, 10a) in 20 games.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman saw time last year with the AHL’s Hershey Bears and Syracuse Crunch contributing two assists in 28 games. Kroll spent four seasons at Ohio State University before moving to the professional ranks. While with the Buckeyes, thethree-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten choicescored 27 points (5g, 22a) in 153 games.
