Rob Concannon- President and Alternate Governor

President Rob Concannon Headshot Web.pngRob Concannon enters his seventh season as the President of the South Carolina Stingrays. Born and raised in Dorchester, MA just outside of Boston, Concannon played for the Stingrays from 1995 to 2000, was a member of the 1997 Kelly Cup Championship team and was inducted into the Stingrays Hall of Fame in 2004. He retired from hockey with the sixth most games played in Stingrays history, at 330, and sixth in all-time Stingrays points with 231 (111g, 120a). Prior to turning pro, Concannon was a Division-3 All-American in 1995 with Salem State College. In addition to the Stingrays, Concannon skated for the Saint John Flames and St. John Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Idaho Steelheads and Greenville Growl of the ECHL during his eight-year professional hockey career.  

In 2011, Concannon was named as honorary chairman for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Rob is very active in the Charleston community and in his free time likes to exercise.

Concannon has called Charleston home for the last 20 years and lives downtown with his wife Keri and their twins, John Robert and Ella Loraine.

Julie Thoennes - Office Manager

Julie.pngJulie Thoennes enters her 24th season with the Stingrays as Office Manager. She is the only member of the Stingrays organization that has been with the club since its inception in 1993.

In addition to handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and the day-to-day responsibilities of the front office, she assists the team’s coaching staff with player operations which include worker’s compensation and immigration issues. She was inducted into the Stingrays Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011.

Thoennes resides in Summerville with her husband Larry. They have three sons, Chasen, Charles and Greg.

Scott Frasnelly- Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Scott Frasnelly.pngScott Frasnelly enters his second year, and first full-season with the Stingrays. Born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon, Frasnelly earned his degree in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho while playing baseball for the university.

Frasnelly has worked with, and within, the ECHL for the past 14 years. After starting his career with the Idaho Steelheads and winning a Kelly Cup Championship in 2003-04, he went on to spend seven years with the Bakersfield Condors organization. During his seven years with the Condors, the team was recognized by the ECHL, earned the Marketing Award of Excellence (2008 & 2010), Website of the Year (2004 & 2008), and the overall Award of Excellence in 2011 after hosting the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic in Bakersfield, CA. Frasnelly also spent a year working at the ECHL League Office as Director of Business Growth & Development. During his time with the league office he was able to work with teams around the nation to establish and share best business practices.

While living in California Frasnelly served on the Board for the Active 20/30 Club of Bakersfield #27, a charity aimed at enriching the lives of children with special needs.

Preston Hayden- Director of Corporate Partnerships and Marketing

Preston-Hayden.pngPreston Hayden enters his first year with the Stingrays. Originally from Troy, Alabama, Hayden received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management with a concentration in Business Administration from Troy University.

Hayden comes to the Stingrays after having worked as a Corporate Partnership Executive with the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins in New Orleans. Prior to his time working in minor league baseball, Hayden spent three years working as an account executive for the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans and the NFL’s New Orleans Saints. He was responsible for over $1 million in new business and was recognized for his exceptional customer service.

This year marks Hayden’s second stint working in South Carolina as he began his career with the then-named Greenville Road Warriors for two seasons.

In his free time, Hayden is a sports enthusiast, competes in various fantasy leagues, and is even known to sing a little karaoke every now and then. His favorite teams are the Atlanta Braves, New Orleans Pelicans, and New Orleans Saints, and he has a die-hard passion for his alma mater. Hayden and his wife, Amber are excited to move to Charleston and look forward to watching their son, Landon grow up.

Robert McCaffrey- Director of Ticket Sales

Bob McCaffrey.pngRobert McCaffrey starts his fourth season with the Stingrays as the Director of Ticket Sales. Prior to joining the Stingrays, he worked for the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League (AHL) where here held the position of a Group Sales Executive. He has also worked with the Connecticut Whale as the Ticket Sales Manager and oversaw the Whale Bowl Hockey Fest. McCaffrey has also worked with the Atlanta Knights of the International Hockey League in the merchandise department and spent seven seasons with the ECHL’s Gwinnett Gladiators, serving as a Ticket Executive before being promoted to Manager of Group Sales. 

McCaffrey also served in the United States Air Force for seven years as a Security Specialist, ending his military career in New Hampshire at Pease Air Force Base.
He is originally from Hartford, Connecticut but now resides in the Charleston area.

Kyle Huckabee- Ticket Sales Manager

Kyle Huckabee.pngKyle Huckabee is entering his fifth season with the Stingrays. Huckabee plays a large role with the Stingrays sales staff and was a finalist for the 2014-15 ECHL Ticket Executive of the Year.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Huckabee received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. He grew up in Summerville, South Carolina and has attended Stingrays hockey games for the last 20 years prior to working with the team. 
Huckabee enjoys golfing around town in his free time and currently resides in Summerville with his wife Marcy and their son Aaron. His favorite sports teams are the USC Gamecocks, the Atlanta Braves and of course, the Stingrays.

Brooke Elias- Ticket Account and Group Operations Executive

Brooke New Headshot web.jpgBrooke Elias started with the Stingrays in June of 2016 as a Ticket Account and Group Operations Executive. Elias worked as a Marketing Intern with University of Alabama and University of South Carolina athletic departments, helping with the planning and execution of sporting events.  She also worked with South Carolina Special Olympics in Social Media and Event Operations. Elias has been involved in Special Olympics for over 10 years, as a volunteer, coach and intern. 

She attended the University of Alabama where she was a member of the Swimming and Diving team. During her time at Alabama, she received her Bachelors of Science in Marketing. After graduating in August 2015, she began pursuing her Master in Sport and Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina.  Elias will complete this degree in August of 2016.

While originally from Columbia, SC, Elias has vacationed in Charleston her entire life with regular visits to Wadmalaw Island and Seabrook Island.  She enjoys all sports, traveling, shopping and spending time with friends and family.

Will Greene- Account Executive

Will-Greene-website.pngWill Greene is in his first full season with the Stingrays as a Account Executive where he works with fans on selecting the full array of ticketing options the Stingrays offer. Prior to joining the Stingrays, Greene will got his start in the sports industry working for the event staff of the Charlotte Hornets and Charlotte Checkers from 2010-2013. In 2013, he began working for the Grand Ole Opry as a ticketing representative, starting as a phone and box office representative, and eventually taking on a larger role as a Ticketing Lead where he assisted in supervising the call center and box office, as well as helping to set up and implement new events in the ticketing system. 

A native of Lexington, North Carolina, Greene attended Appalachian State University, majoring in Music Industry Studies. He was a member of the Marching Mountaineers as well as Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. In his free time, Greene enjoys hiking, fishing, and skiing in the winter.

Jesse Harris- Account Executive

Jesse New Headshot web.jpgJesse Harris joined the Stingrays in April, 2016 as an Account Executive after graduating from Auburn University in 2015. While at Auburn, Harris studied International Business with concentrations in Economics and Marketing. She currently attends The Citadel, where she is working on her Masters in Sports Management. Prior to working for the Stingrays, Harris worked for SAIC and Chase After The Cure.

A big fan of hockey, Harris grew up in Herndon, Virginia, Madison, Alabama and Hilton Head, South Carolina, watching the Washington Capitals and Huntsville Havoc play hockey. Harris loves all sports. dogs, traveling and volunteering with children's organizations.

Zach Myers- Account Executive

Zach-Myers-website.pngZach Myers enters his first season as a full-time staff member with the South Carolina Stingrays after serving as a Game Operations Intern during the 2015-16 season. 

Myers brings a vast sports background to the Stingrays. In addition to working with the Stingrays, in early in 2016, he worked the RBC Heritage Classic in Hilton Head, completing an internship with the Heritage Classic Foundation (HCF). He also spent four years as a Game Day Staff member for the York Revolution baseball team, and also served as a Stadium Operations Intern in 2014. 

Myers most recently worked at Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms. The native of York, PA graduated from York College of Pennsylvania. He resides in Mount Pleasant and is a big Hershey Bears and Washington Capitals fan.

Jared Shafran- Director of Communications and Broadcasting

Jared Shafran Stingrays Headshot web.jpgJared Shafran was named as the Stingrays' new Director of Communications and Broadcasting in October of 2016. He will serve as the "Voice of the Stingrays" and will provide play-by-play of all games during the 2016-17 season.

The 27-year-old Shafran most recently served as an Athletics Communications Associate at Ferris State University where he called games for the school's Division I hockey team. During the 2015-16 season, Shafran was behind the microphone for Ferris State's WCHA conference championship win, as well as the team's run to the 2016 NCAA Tournament. At Ferris State, Shafran played a key role in producing video and multimedia content and helped oversee social media accounts for all 17 of Ferris State's athletic programs. He also assisted with the school's media relations and marketing efforts while leading video board production.

Shafran, a Highland Mills, New York native, previously spent three seasons with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL) from 2012-2015. The Northeastern University graduate handled play-by-play for the Storm and spearheaded the team's media relations and digital media initiatives. During his time in Tri-City, Shafran's strong body of work earned him numerous opportunities to work league events. Shafran was chosen to lead interview efforts for the USHL at the NHL Draft for two years, hosted the USHL Draft Show twice and served as a rinkside reporter at the 2015 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Dubuque, Iowa.

Shafran's previous work includes a stint as the play-by-play voice of the Palm Springs Power baseball team in California in 2012, as well as experience writing for The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, and The Huntington News. He interned with New England Sports Network and College Hockey Inc. during his time at Northeastern. Shafran's honors on the microphone including finishing in the top-five of the 2015 FASTHockey Broadcaster Battle and being named a 2011 Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA) Honorable Mention All-American.

Mackenzie Farmery- Community Relations Manager

Mackenzie-Farmery-web.jpgMackenzie Farmery joins the Stingrays for her first season as the Community Relations Manager. Her duties include scheduling and attending events with Cool Ray, Stingrays players in the Lowcountry community. 

Farmery has been in the Charleston sports market for the past several years. She has worked for the Volvo Car Open tennis tournament as the Promotions Assistant and also interned in the Special Events Department for the Charleston RiverDogs. 

She played soccer at the University of Kentucky before finishing her Bachelors Degree at University of Georgia. She recently completed her Masters in Sport Management from The Citadel. Originally from Cumming, Georgia, Mackenzie has lived in Charleston for over two years. She enjoys sports, playing with her black lab, Finley, and hanging out with friends in her free time.

Allie Mulvaney- Merchandise Manager

Aliie-Mulvaney-website.pngAllie Mulvaney enters her second season with the Stingrays. She is in her first season as the Merchandise Manager after spending last season as the Business Development Coordinator. Mulvaney is in charge of creation and management of the team's merchandise and novelties. She oversees staffing, inventory and will play a large role in the Stingrays' new online store.

Prior to joining the Stingrays, Mulvaney worked as a Pro Am Assistant on the PGA Tour at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, South Carolina. She also served as an intern for the Golf Week Amateur Tournament Championship in Hilton Head from 2013-2014 and as an NFL On Location Host Committee Member where she worked at Super Bowl XLVIII. She received Outstanding "Fans First" Customer Service Recognition for her work with the Super Bowl XLVIII.

Mulvaney received her Bachelors Degree from The University of Tennessee at Martin, majoring in Sports Management. She got her start in sports with the Jackson Generals baseball team as an Administrative Assistant in 2013. A native of Memphis, TN, Mulvaney now resides in the Charleston area.

Graham Jenkins- Director of Game Operations

Graham Jenkins.pngGraham Jenkins enters his second season with the Stingrays, serving as the Director of Game Operations. He oversees the team’s video production and in-game presentation. 

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Graham began his career in sports in 2014 as a Video Production Assistant for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Class Advanced-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs and a Texas Rangers affiliate at the time. In 2015, he worked as a Video Production Assistant in two different sports simultaneously: the Tulsa Drillers (Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers) and Tulsa Roughnecks FC, an expansion team in the United Soccer League (USL). 

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Jenkins earned a B.A. in Communication and a Cinematic Arts minor. While at USC, he performed for four years in the Trojan Marching Band as a tuba player, marching in cities such as London, New York, and San Francisco. In addition to participating in the marching band, Jenkins also helped produce a Trojan Vision television show entitled “underGRAD” for three years and broadcast sports for KXSC Radio for a year.

Hannah Hartman- Marketing Operations and Media Executive

Hannah-Hartman-web.jpgHannah Hartman started with the Stingrays in October of 2016 as a media and marketing executive. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in May of 2016, where she worked for Fighting Irish Media, the communications division of the Notre Dame Department of Athletics. She also worked for Notre Dame’s student radio station, WVFI, as a play-by-play and color commentator for basketball and football. She spent her summers interning with WNDU-TV, the NBC affiliate in South Bend, and the South Bend Cubs, the Midwest League affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.

She was a four-year member of the Notre Dame Women’s lacrosse team, receiving both Big East and ACC academic honors. She was a double major in Political Science and Film, Television, and Theatre. After graduating, she spent her summer with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League as a field reporter.

Originally from Baltimore, MD, Hartman is a Washington Capitals fan. She enjoys all sports, coaching lacrosse, and the beaches of the lowcountry.
