Forward Joe Devin returns to South Carolina for his third season with the team. Known as a key playoff performer, Devin has scored some of the biggest goals in recent memory for South Carolina. 

During the 2016 Kelly Cup Playoffs, Devin finished with a team-leading 10 goals, and 19 points. Devin scored the double-overtime winning goal in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals versus Adirondack, propelling the Stingrays to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second consecutive season. Over his last two postseason campaigns, Devin has scored four goals in Game 7's, including the triple-overtime winning goal versus Toledo that sent the Stingrays to the Kelly Cup Finals in 2015.

Devin split time in the 2015-16 regular season with the Stingrays and the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL). Devin collected 41 points (18 goals, 23 assists) in 55 games with South Carolina and served as an alternate captain for the club. He also scored seven points (five goals, two assists) in 16 games with Lake Erie where he played for Stingrays Hall of Famer Jared Bednar. 

From 2007-11, he attended Cornell University acquiring 64 points (37 goals, 27 assists) in 116 games, served as team captain his senior season and was a member of the 2009-10 ECAC championship team.
