North Charleston, SC – The South Carolina Stingray and Head Coach/General Manager announced today that defenseman Josh Godfrey has been sent to the Rays from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
Godfrey, 21, spent seven games with the Stingrays in the beginning of the season, tallying three assists and nine penalty minutes before being called up the Hershey Bears. The Collingwood, Ont. native has recorded another six assists and 21 penalty minutes in 13 games with Hershey.
Godfrey, originally a second round draft pick of the Washington Capitals in the 2007 Entry Draft, is in his first year of professional hockey.
