Weather Delays Training Camp

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C.- The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons in the Lowcountry and proud affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that they have delayed the start of Training Camp due to dangerous conditions and inclement weather. 

The Stingrays were to open Training Camp on Monday, October 5, but record-setting heavy rainfall and flooding is making travel dangerous and not advised. A state of emergency has been declared for South Carolina, prompting the Stingrays to cancel tomorrow's scheduled 10:30 a.m. practice at the Carolina Ice Palace. 
Weather permitting, the team plans to start Training Camp on Tuesday, October 6. All practices will be held at the Carolina Ice Palace, located at 7665 Northwoods Blvd in North Charleston.
The updated Training Camp schedule is below (subject to change):
Monday, October 5: No Practice due to dangerous conditions and inclement weather
Tuesday, October 6 to Thursday, October 8: Practice at Carolina Ice Palace, 10:30 a.m. 
Friday, October 9: Preseason Game at Carolina Ice Palace versus Greenville, 7:05 p.m.
Saturday, October 10: Preseason Game at Carolina Ice Palace versus Atlanta, 7:05 p.m.
Monday, October 12 to Thursday, October 15: Practice at Carolina Ice Palace, 10:30 a.m.
