Stingrays Add Rodrigues to Roster

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C.- The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons in the Lowcountry and proud affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that they have added forward Paul Rodrigues to the roster.

This marks Rodrigues' second stint with South Carolina. He was a member of the Stingrays during the 2013-2014 season, skating in 40 games for the club and scoring 15 points (seven goals, eight assists). 

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound forward joins the Stingrays from the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). Rodrigues notched seven points (two goals, five assists) in eight games with the Ice Flyers this season.

Rodrigues spent the majority of the 2014-2015 season with the Greenville Road Warriors, scoring 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) in 53 games. The SUNY-Oswego graduate is in his third professional season.  

Rodrigues has joined the team in Orlando and will wear #16 with the Stingrays.
