Rays, Icethetics Unveil Logo Design FinalistsSep 12, 2016
The South Carolina Stingrays, proud affiliate of the Washington Capitals, have selected four finalists from the club's Icethetics 25th Anniversary Logo design contest, and fans votes will help determine the winner.
Entries from Brooks Freeman, Scott Markiewicz, Matt McElroy, and Rene Sanchez were selected as the top four entries and will be included in the voting process. Fans may vote by visiting Icethetics.co/stingrays. The poll closes on on Sunday, September 18.
"We want to thank Chris Smith from Icethetics and the Icethetics community for the incredible response to the contest," said Jeffrey Zucker, member of the Stingrays' ownership. "We are overwhelmed by the quality of submissions, and it was difficult to choose finalists.
"Ultimately, we picked logos that we thought still 'felt' like our brand and honored its history while also being creative. We look forward to fan input and are excited to see what Icethetics readers select!"
The winning design will be unveiled on Monday, September 19 and will be used on the alternate jersey and other merchandise in 2017-18. The Stingrays and Icethetics will also host a 25th Anniversary jersey design contest featuring the selected logo starting on September 19. The winners of both the logo and jersey design contest will recieve a free customized jersey, tickets to see the Stingrays playing in their jersey, and up to $500 to cover travel expenses.
