Rays Deal Krieg To ReadingJan 12, 2018
The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and AHL’s Hershey Bears, have announced a trade with Reading that sends defenseman Mike Krieg to the Royals in exchange for future considerations.
Krieg, who is in his third professional season, has played in 12 games this year for South Carolina, assisting on two goals. The 28-year-old was a member of both the Norfolk Admirals and Wheeling Nailers during 2016-17, suiting up for 41 games with Norfolk and earning 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) before seeing 16 games of action with Wheeling and posting four points (one goal, three assists).
South Carolina returns to the ice this weekend for three home games in three days at the North Charleston Coliseum beginning on Friday night against Atlanta at 7:05 p.m.
