McGauley, Monardo, Leach Recalled By HersheyDec 17, 2016
The Hershey Bears, American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the South Carolina Stingrays, have announced the recalling of skaters Tim McGauley, Domenic Monardo and Joey Leach Sunday.
The three players had been reassigned to South Carolina Wednesday ahead of a three games series the Stingrays had in Norfolk with the Admirals.
McGauley, who was playing for the first time this season, suited up for all three games in Norfolk, earning his first professional point with an assist in Friday night’s win.
Monardo also played in each of the games for the Stingrays and had one assist Friday. The forward has played 14 ECHL games this season for South Carolina and has five points (one goal, four assists). A native of Oakville, Ont., Monardo has also played in eight games for Hershey this year with three assists and a +2 rating.
Leach is in his second season with the organization and has played four games for South Carolina this season with three assists and a +1 rating. The Wadena, Sask. native has appeared in 14 games with the Bears during 2016-17 with three assists, 35 penalty minutes and a +8 rating.
The Stingrays return to the North Charleston Coliseum ice Tuesday night when they battle Greenville at 7:05 p.m.
