Hershey Re-Signs Forward Dylan MargonariSep 13, 2017
The Hershey Bears, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the South Carolina Stingrays, announced the re-signing of forward Dylan Margonari to a one-year contract for the 2017-18 season on Wednesday.
Margonari played 32 games in South Carolina as a rookie last year before sustaining a season-ending injury in late January. The Greensburg, Pa. native accounted for 17 points on 11 goals and six assists.
The 25-year-old began his professional career at the conclusion of 2015-16, playing two regular season games with Hershey before suiting up for four postseason contests with the Stingrays.
Margonari played his NCAA hockey at Minnesota State, scoring 66 points (38 goals, 28 assists) in 143 games over four seasons. He helped the Mavericks to two WCHA Championships and NCAA Tournament Appearances in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
South Carolina opens its 25th anniversary season in front of their home fans at the North Charleston Coliseum on Oct. 20 against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at 7:05 p.m.
